Pastoral
Care - Nurturing the Spirit
Christian Care Communities has a very active pastoral care program throughout Kentucky and has invested in its growth and development for the future.
Christian Care is not only dedicated to taking care of the physical and emotional needs of the individuals we serve, we are also dedicated to their spiritual well-being. We understand that each person is created in the image of God and we are here to help promote spiritual growth and support. We have dedicated chaplains who serve our residents, program participants, family members and staff. Our chaplains often work in cooperation with local area ministers.
According to recent studies, 83 percent of American believe in the healing power of prayer. Despite all of our medical, technological, and economic advances, many individuals continue to overlook or misunderstand their spiritual dimension.
Spiritual well-being is not just one factor among many. It is a dimension that underscores and gives meaning to all aspects of life and brings wholeness and health to our total being. The positive effects of an active spiritual life include: less physical illness and depression, lower mortality rates and a reduction in risky health-related behaviors.
