Christian Care Communities and Kentucky Derby Festival
present: Corporate Battle of the Bounce
Suit up for the most fun you have had since you were 10! It’s time again for the Derby Festival Battle of the Bounce, an event where four-person teams race through a series of inflatable obstacles. Teams from Louisville and Southern Indiana, dressed in wild and crazy costumes, will meet on the Great Lawn to compete in this zany one-of-a-kind race. From bouncing horses to the human hamster ball, this course will provide plenty of challenge and entertainment!
On 2007, 30 teams took the Battle of the Bounce challenge. Taking home the “Inflatable Ego” traveling trophy was the “Wanna Pizza Me” team from Boombozz Pizza with an incredible 51.2 second course record! Louisville Water Company’s “Tapper and the Good Hydrations” entertained the judges with their creative costumes and crowd pleasing cheer to win the Best Team Theme award.
This year after an official Call to the Post, Hall of Fame Jockey and Honorary Chairman Pat Day will start the races. Kelly K. from 99.7 WDJX and Candyce Clifft from FOX41/WDRB will host the event along with Don Russell, the former voice of the University of Louisville Cardinals calling the races.
