 Our campus at Commonwealth and Masters Street gives Christian Care Communities the advantage of being next door to downtown, offering all the convenience of walking distance or short commutes to many neighborhood attractions.
Banking/Shopping
Six local banks have branches nearby; and residents are close to a variety of grocery stores including Kroger and SaveALot. In addition to traditional department stores like JC Penney’s and Goody’s and Belk’s, you’ll also find many large discount retailers like WalMart and KMart nearby, too.
Restaurants
Friendship House has its own dining room, which serves a delicious lunch every day. Residents from all over the campus can dine there for a weekly fee. Our campus is also accessible to 11 different restaurants, including fast food, Chinese, Mexican and seafood restaurants.
Pharmacies
Christian Health Center has an on-site pharmacy. Other nearby pharmacies include
Sav-Rite WalMart, Kroger and KMart.
Hair Salons
Friendship House has a Hair Salon on site, and the campus is conveniently located to five other local salons.
Churches
Our campus offers its own chapel with weekly Protestant and Catholic services. However, we are nearby to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Corbin Presbyterian, Parkway Church of God, Saint John’s Episcopal, First Christian Church, First Baptist Church, Eastside Tabernacle and Park Hill Baptist Church. |
